WeBlade Group is the new leading manufacturer of blades for the power generation market, formed from the merger between DOM S.r.l. and C-Blade S.p.A., two historic companies, leaders in the production of precision mechanical components.

WeBlade Group, born from the merger of DOM and C-Blade, effectively became the leading European player in the production of turbine blades for the power generation market in October 2024.

Our Story

1946

The origins: O.M.P. was found by Giovanni De Ferrari in Mercurago (Arona) to produce and repair mechanical parts for Lago Maggiore ships.

1960s / 1980s

Development: O.M.P. became D.O.M De Ferrari Officine Meccaniche. Specialization in precision mechanical parts for aero industries (Aeritalia, Agusta, Caproni- Vizzola, Siai Marchetti), military (Otomelara) and medical (Roche).

1990s / 2002

Worskhop in Mercurago was extended and first 5 axis milling machines were installed. Started blades mamufacturing for power generation market with Franco Tosi (Legnano). During follwong years started blades manufacturing for Ansaldo Energia, ABB, Siemens and Mitshubishi Heavy Industries.

2002

In 2002 a complete new building was built in Invorio and the workshop was transferred integrally. Certification ISO 9001 was achieved in Y2008.

2016

In 2016 company Lindottone for surface finishing was purchased.

2018

In 2018 first robotized machines were installed.

2020

In Y2020 acquisition by Ethica Global Investments.

2021

In Y2021 EN9100 was achieved.

2023

In Y2023 production of blades for aero market started.

1963

The origins: Forging of Steel products, Campolin & Beltrame.

1989

Machining of the Blade. 5 spindle, profile copying Starrag-Rigid.
Foundation of ISTAL.

1994

Certification according to ISO9002:1994 standard. 35.000kgm ERIE Hammer.

1995

First CNC workstation. Starrag NX255.

1996

The origin of C Blade. 9 High speed workstations 4-6 axes (Starrag and CB Ferrari).

2001

Preforming press with CNC control. Milling of the root for Compressor Blades. First Aerospace parts delivered.

2002

Machining of the fir tree root for Steam Turbine Blades. .

2003

Assembly sequence analysis, frequency test and weight moment balancing. Certification ISO9001:2000.

2005

Purchase of 50.000kgm PENSOTTI Hammer.

2007/2009

Enlargement of the Forging building and installation of 50.000kgm PENSOTTI Hammer. New heat treatment furnaces. Purchase of 2 CB Ferrari CNC workstation for bigger parts. Forging simulation. Introduction of lean-manufacturing. Machining of the finger root for Steam Turbine Blades. Acquisition by Riello Investimenti SGR Spa.
